Port Salut cheese, also called Port du Salut, comes from Pays de la Loire, France. It’s made from pasteurized cow’s milk. The cheese was originally produced by Trappist monks way back in the 19th century. This semi-soft cheese with orange rind and a fat content of 72,7% has a mild flavor, is creamy and smooth. The flavor increases the longer the cheese is kept.

Country of Origin: Loire Valley, France.
