Taleggio DOP Caravaggio is a semi-soft cheese with a washed rind, made from whole cow’s milk from the Lombardy region of northern Italy. Its taste is intense and aromatic yet mild in flavor, with notes of hazelnut and a slight acidity. The texture is moist creating a strong, buttery, fragrant cheese with a tangy meaty flavor and a fruity finish. The rind is orange in color and has a slight white mold. The combination of soft texture, pungent aroma and buttery flavor have proven addictive.
